The Second Week Blues

There comes a point in every writer's composition where the writer says, no mas, meaning no more, uncle, please stop, I can't take anymore. And why wouldn't you feel that way? You're between 11,000 and 30,000 words and the battle has begun.

The first week is magical right? The words just flow and somewhere along the way it's like someone turned off the tap to your imagination and you want to know who the hell did it lol. But hang in there, somewhere in this struggle other great things will start to happen.

Your characters will start doing things on their own. And sometime during the week your book will start to come to life and you'll have little to know control over what they do anymore. And just wait until the third week!

But right now I'm sure you're thinking this friggin' blows, what the heck is this lunatic talking about. But you have to trust me on this, it will happen. It happens like this all the time.
